Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is learning Karate to "fight" Rajnikanth on-screen for "Endhiran, the Robot". Some scenes in the film will have Ash learning martial arts from the hero.

Aishwarya, who has done action scenes for "Dhoom 2" and "Jodhaa Akbar", is busy brushing up her action skills. She is learning Karate from Ramesh master so that she could perform her part naturally.

The big budget extravaganza, a science fiction made by showman Shankar, has Rajnikanth playing two roles: One of them is a scientist and the other, a robot he creates. A.R Rahman scores the music for the film.
