Billa, the Telugu version of the Ajith-Nayantara starrer Tamil hit Billa, is gearing up for release. It may be remembered that the 2007 release directed by Vishnuvardhan was in fact a remake of Rajinikanth's film of the same name made in 1980. And both these films have been the Tamil versions of the Hindi film Don. Kantri fame Meher Ramesh is the director of the Telugu Billa, which has Prabhas donning the lead role. Anushka and Namitha are the lead ladies while Mani Sharma is in charge of the music.

The stylish film 'Billa' starring young rebel star Prabhas, Anushka, Namitha and Krishnam Raju in the lead roles is going to release on 2nd April. Meher Ramesh of 'Kantri' fame has directed the film while Narendra and Prabodh have jointly produced it under Gopi Krishna Movies Pvt. ltd banner.

Mani Sharma has scored the music for this film. The flick is said to be the most stylish one ever made in Telugu cinema. The trailer of 'Billa' was release on the music launch function created lots of hype and expectations on this project. The audio is getting huge response.

Teenage sensation Hansika Motwani is doing an item song in this film. Anushka is going to appear in a two piece bikini in the movie. Major part of the film has been shot in the exotic locales of Malaysia with high budget. The entire film has been shot with super 35 mm camera.
