Actor Sundar Raj and Pramila Joshai"s daughter Meghana Raj, who has already acted in Tamil movie Krishnaleelai, is now debuting in Kadhal Solla Vandhen. Her father Sundar Raj is a Tamilian and has acted in more than 180 films, predominantly in Kannada language, while her mother Pramila Joshai, a Kannadiga, is a noted Kannada film actress and film producer. Because of her mixed background, Meghana is fluent in both Kannada and Tamil, speaking Kannada at home and Tamil at her grandparents" house. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor"s degree in psychology at Christ College, Bangalore.

Moreover, she is not only acting in Boopathy Pandian"s Kaadhal Solla Vandhen, which would be her first Tamil release, she is also doing Nandha Nandhitha in Tamil, which is a remake of the 2008 Kannada film Nanda Loves Nanditha.
