The South Scope magazine presented the "South Scope Awards-2010" to the film fraternity of all the four languages in the South on Sunday night at a colorful function held at Hotel Novotel, Hyderabad, on Sunday night, amidst heavy police bandobasth.

Beauty Queen Sridevi was the cynosure of all, who presented the awards to the fraternity, flanked by her hubby Boni Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Ramanaidu, Allu Arvind and others.

As expected, the best film award went to Maghadeera and the best actor, to Ramcharan for the same film. Anushka is the best actress (in Arundhati). Best director is Rajamouli (for Maghadeera) and the best supporting actor is Sonu Soodh (in Arundhati).
















The other awardees included: Best supporting actress - Ramya Krishna (Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam); Best comedian - Brahmanandam (KIKK); Best music director - Devi Sri Prasad (Arya-II); Best lyricist - Chandrabose (Maghadeera); Best cinematographer - Senthil Kumar (Maghadeera); best debut actor - Naga Chaitanya; and best debut actress - Reema Kalinga; and Best close-up couple award went to Prabhu Deva and Nayantara. The South Scope Achievement award went to Ramanaidu.

Speaking on this occasion, Ramanaidu said: "Chiranjeevi acted in several films under our production house. I am happy to receive this honor from Sridevi."

Sridevi said: "Ramanaidu is not only a good producer, but also a good human being. I always feel happy that I had worked in several films on their banner. I feel it my luck to present him the award."

Chiranjeevi said: "Honoring Ramanaidu garu is like honoring the Telugu Kalama Talli (mother of Telugu film industry). I also congratulate him for getting the Dada Saheb Phalke Award."

Anchoring by Shriya thrilled all at the function, which ended after crossing midnight. Prakash Raj-Pony Varma couple was among those who stole the limelight.
